Rabin IPDR Solution
Rabin IPDR is a logging solution containing detailed records of network IPs.
Rabin was designed and developed to meet the requirement announced by the Communications Regulatory Authority under Resolution 960310/2.
Under this regulation, the Communications Regulatory Authority requires telecom operators to provide IPDR logs.
What Is the Rabin IPDR Solution?
One of the most important requirements for compliance with the regulations of the Communications Regulatory Authority is tracking subscriber activity based on the IP addresses assigned to them by network equipment, so that it can be determined which subscriber held a public IP address at a specific time.
Rabin IPDR is capable of receiving subscriber traffic data from Internet service providers (ISPs), matching it with information obtained from AAA systems (such as IBSng), then generating real-time logs of all subscriber sessions and storing the output in the standard format accepted by the Communications Regulatory Authority.
Which Organizations Need an IPDR Logging System?
Mobile Network Operators (MNOs)
Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs)
Fixed Communication Service Providers (FCPs)
Internet Distribution Companies (SERVCOs)
Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) Service Providers
Data Centers
ISPs
Requirements for Using Rabin
To use Rabin IPDR, it is sufficient to provide a server with adequate storage capacity proportional to the traffic bandwidth and supply Rabin with the two mentioned information sources.
After that, the entire log generation process is performed on the Rabin server without requiring any additional servers, and the output is automatically generated in the format required by the Communications Regulatory Authority.
IPDR requires two data sources to generate the required log:
NetFlow output from BNG/BRAS devices in the network, or from any device capable of generating NetFlow output from passing traffic, or a copy of subscriber traffic (Tapped Traffic)
A copy of Radius or Diameter data from user connections for AAA systems (IBSng or other software)
